Alley Oop Films is Kate Duhamel's independent film production company. She is a writer, director and producer working in San Francisco, and has made both fiction and documentary films, and is currently working on a series of short dance videos.

Kate is currently working on a series of dance videos featuring well-known dancers in tap, contemporary ballet and break dancing. She has also written and directed a feature film and four short films that have shown in film festivals around the country, and she has written five screenplays. Kate has also produced and directed three short documentary films for two humanitarian organizations.
Kate sits on the International Board, and is chairperson of the US Board of Right To Play, an international humanitarian organization working in the field of sport for development. Kate has also chaired the Far West Freestyle Ski Division, and sat on the California State Film Commission. Kate attended Stanford University, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has worked in the financial sector, and managed a cable television company prior to embarking on writing and filmmaking. Kate lives in Marin with her three sons, husband and two dogs.
